The French Genetics Society (SFG) offers 3-4 Grants to young scientists originating from under-represented countries to participate to the International Conference on Polyploidy, Hybridization and Biodiversity (ICPHB) in May 17-20, 2009 (at Saint-Malo, France).
The goals of this Grant program is to increase attendance of young scientists from under-represented countries at the ICPHB 2009 meeting by providing Registration and Accommodation funds for those in financial need and to increase diversity among meeting attendees. Ph.D students are strongly encouraged to apply, as are postdocs, and faculty members at the beginning of their careers.

It is required that applicants submit an abstract (for oral or poster presentation), a short CV (1 page maximum), a letter of motivation and a letter of recommendation.

Applications must be received by the Organizing Committee ( -email- ) by March 10, 2009. Those applicants selected to receive a grant will be notified by the end of March. Then, they will be asked to register online, without having to pay Registration and Accommodation (from May 17, 05:00 pm to May 20, 11:00 am); see what Registration fees include in General Information of the ICPHB2009 webpage. Please note:
• The Grant does not include travel expense of the awardees. The awardees should confirm their participation by April 30, 2009.
• Should unforeseen events prevent awardees from attending the meeting, the awardees must notify Dr Eric Jenczewski ( -email- ) immediately so that another applicant can use the award to attend the meeting.

For any further questions, please contact the Organizing Committee.
